Guide: Delete Net Services

This guide will show you how to delete Net Services attached to the domain(s) that you located in the first two steps.

 

Please be aware that you cannot undo a Net Service deletion

 

Tip: Refine your domains using the advanced search criteria (step 1) to get a closer match of domains

1) Locate domains

This is a search in which you specify the domains you want to manage. You must specify these domains before you can make any changes to them. The search includes several optional criteria, which means that you decide what information the search shall be based on.

2) Matching domains

This list of domains is the search result of the “Locate Domains” search. Verify that the domains in the list are those that you want to manage.

3) What would you like to manage?

An overview of the tasks that you can perform. The overview has three categories; Net Services, Email Forwards and MX-records. Each category has two guides that explain how to manage located domains.

4) Select Net Service to delete

Review the list of Net Service. Make sure that the ones you do not want to delete are not checked.

 

In this step, you can:

  • Specify the Net Services you want deleted.

This step contains:



* List of Net Services

* Subdomain
Displays the subdomain to which this Net Service is attached.
This field can contain three different types:

* Regular subdomain

The most common way of attaching a Net Service to a domain.

Example: www.example.com
whereas ‘www’ is the subdomain


* No subdomain

Used when referencing to the domain only

Example: example.com


* Any subdomain

Use this as a subdomain wildcard

Example: youdidnotdefinethisbutitworks.example.com


* Domain
The primary domain name that can hold multiple Net Service on different subdomains (see above)

* Destination

The destination address of the Net Service configured. 

Example: http://www.example.com/example.html or 193.145.2.93 or www.example.net.


* Uncheck all
Un-tick the checkboxes of the domains whose Net Service you do not want to delete.

* Continue

Click “Continue” to approve the deletions, in step 5.


5) Approve Net Service Deletions

This page shows you the Net Service that you have chosen to delete

 

In this step, you can:

  • Review the deletions you are about to execute.

This step contains:



* Warning

This warning is a reminder that you are about to delete the Net Services marked in red, and that you may want to consult your site administrator before deleting these services.  


* List of Net Services

* Subdomain
Displays the subdomain to which this Net Service is attached.
This field can contain three different types:

* Regular subdomain

The most common way of attaching a Net Service to a domain.

Example: www.example.com
whereas ‘www’ is the subdomain


* No subdomain

Used when referencing to the domain only

Example: example.com


* Any subdomain

Use this as a subdomain wildcard

Example: youdidnotdefinethis.example.com


* Domain

The domain that is attached to this Net Service

Example: example.com


* Net Service
The type of Net Service in use.

* Delete

Click “Delete” to execute your deletions of the Net Services, marked in red.


6) Confirmation

This is your confirmation that the deletions have been executed. Your changes have now taken effect or are pending (depending on the type of DNS change you are carrying out).

 

In this step you may: 

  • Where next?
    Click “Go” if you want to carry more changes with the listed domains.
  • Home
    Click Home to return to your welcome page.
  • Locate other domains to manage
    Click this link if you want to view make changes to other domains.

This step contains:



* Printer-friendly version
Use this link to print the list of MX-Records, for your archives or reports.

* List of Net Services

* Subdomain
Displays the subdomain to which this Net Service is attached.
This field can contain three different types:

* Regular subdomain

The type of Net Service in use.

* Destination
The IP-address or URL of the web server or the site that your domain shall point to.
